OpenPlus was asked to design an interactive and engaging solution that will stand out during the Blueprint 2020 event. After the event, the same solution will be integrated into Health Canada’s intranet for their 50,000 employees.
The solution had to load digital content in English and French, work online as well as offline, standalone as well as part of Health Canada’s Intranet.
Requirements
Work on touch devices (TV, kiosk, mobile)
Work online and offline
Work as a standalone app
Integrate with Health Canada's intranet
Accessible, Multilingual and Responsive
OpenPlus has designed, prototyped, and developed an interactive dashboard that works across multiple devices including Health Canada’s Intranet.
We used HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript to create a cross-platform compatible app that is responsive, multilingual and accessible.
From the same source code, PhoneGap was used to build a native app for mobile and tablets, both iOS and Android. The native app allowed us to load content for offline consumption.
Using animations and interactions, the dashboard lets employees discover digital content in a more engaging and interactive way.
Same solution using a touch screen TV
Animation was used to attract visitors and encourage them to get involved. The visitor selects a language and proceeds to the next screen.
The dashboard was designed with content and users in mind; simple to use, yet colourful and interactive to get users attention. The visitor selects a category and moves to next screen.
Support static HTML pages and PDFs, as well as rich multimedia content such as videos and audio.
