Standards Council of Canada

The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) is a federal Crown corporation. It has its mandate to promote efficient and effective standardization in Canada. The organization reports to Parliament through the Minister of Industry and oversees Canada's national standardization network.

The client needed to migrate their website from LifeRay to a better Open Source CMS, and wanted to drastically overhaul their Search experience as it spanned 6 databases VIA 6 different advanced search forms causing a usability paralysis in search results. Furthermore, their data was not compliant with their mandated Accessibility guidelines for WCAG 2.0 Level A. The client also required a Mobile solution, as well as scripted auto-migration for over 22,000 content peices.

Following an extensive public bidding and presentation evaluation process, OpenPlus was chosen the winner among over 40 local bids.
